Developers Steel City Interactive announced that their long-awaited title will be made available for PC this month.
Undisputed – which looks to be the first major boxing video game since the EA Sports Fight Night Series ended in 2011 – will be released via Steam as early access on January 31. It was previously known by the ESBC.
The game will satisfy boxing fans with state of the art gameplay that promises to ‘pack a punch with stunning visuals, a revolutionary footwork system and deep strategy’.
Some sports games in the past have suffered from rights issues and resorted to using unofficial names – West London Blue and Yorkshire Whites from Pro Evolution Soccer, to name a couple – but not Undisputed.
In fact, it’s the roster of fighters that could well be the main appeal for boxing fans. The developers spent months teasing big names from all weight categories on social media. In the latest promo video, Tyson Fury, Ryan Garcia, and Wilder, Usyk join Canelo, Usyk, and Wilder.
The game also features legends like Sugar Ray Leonard – who makes a welcome appearance in the promo trailer – Muhammad Ali, and Joe Louis as playable characters.

Although the early access is only for PC gamers, reports suggest that it will soon be available for Xbox and PS5 gamers.
Improvements are expected too, with this initial release being just a taste of what’s to come. TalkSPORT reported that Steel City Interactive will continue to update and fix bugs.
“Our development roadmap includes additional features that will be introduced over the course of Early Access. This includes Career Mode and Fighter Creation tools, as well as additional boxers and venues. We’ll provide more details about these features along the way.”
“The early access build of Undisputed features a core boxing gameplay experience we feel is fun and engaging and ready for player feedback. This includes both online as well offline modes, a roster that includes over 50 boxers and seven venues.
“Since Undisputed is still in development, we expect to be fixing bugs and polishing the experience throughout early access, while providing a game that is stable and enjoyable to play.”
