A top-tier North American VALORANT coach was near becoming a member of Disguised Toast’s workforce.
Toast’s VALORANT workforce certified for the VCT NA Challengers League final night time, with the streamer himself following the sport on his stream. Following the victory, Toast revealed he had tried—and failed—to signal former 100 Thieves head coach, Sean Gares, to educate his VALORANT squad.
“They put me in touch [with Sean Gares], and I’m like ‘Sean, I heard you’re an excellent coach, I want you.’ And he’s like ‘nah, sorry, I bought some stuff happening,’” Disguised Toast admitted throughout the broadcast.
For many of 2022, Sean Gares was dedicated to teaching. He was behind the steering wheel of 100 Thieves’ VALORANT division, with whom he reached VALORANT Champions. On the event, the squad did not qualify past the teams after struggling in opposition to Fnatic and DRX. Earlier than teaching for 100T, the 34-year-old was a streamer for Gen.G and an expert CS:GO participant for a variety of years.
Sean Gares and 100 Thieves parted methods on Oct. 19, and the coach has but to supply any updates concerning his future.
Regardless of Gares selecting to not be a part of Toast’s workforce, the squad doesn’t lack veteran expertise. Joshua “metal” Nissan led the 4 rookies into qualification for VCT Challengers 2023: North America yesterday.
