Today saw the announcement of the final Player of the Month Awards for the regular season. San Fransisco was awarded multiple awards after a ten-game win streak to close the season.
The 49ers have been in a great place lately. It was therefore no surprise that they won two player-of-the-month awards for weeks 13-18 through January and December. Christian McCafferty, Brock Purdy, and Christian McCafferty topped the honours list.

Since Purdy took over this season, Purdy’s performance has been nothing short of extraordinary for the Niners. The rookie took over from Jimmy Garoppolo as QB in week 13 against the Dolphins and he hasn’t looked back since, winning every game to go 5-0 through the end of the season.
Purdy’s throwing this season was a joy to see. The 22-year-old managed 1,308 yards with 13 touchdowns passes and only three interceptions in six games. With the playoffs approaching, he will be a key part in the Niners quest for the Vince Lombardi.
Christian McCaffrey, the NFC defensive player-of-the-month, is another player who was key to the 49ers’ winning streak to end the season.

McCaffery was named player-of-the-month after he had 767 yards of scrimmage (505 rushing, 262 recieving), seven touchdowns and 27 interceptions.
McCaffery has scored in the end zone in six of his last six games. He will be looking to continue that streak this weekend when McCaffery takes on the Seahawks in the Wildcard Playoff match.
